Young Englishmen can't hold their drink and act like twats shocker. No doubt they'll find some excuse again. It's always the same, and will be repeated in small town High Streets across the country tonight. People just don't know how to behave and know the repercussions are rare.

From a mate
Blog has gone a little bit skew-whiff as its all started to go a bit haywire before the tournament even started and we hadn't even really got writing as yet.
If you know me I would never condone idiots. But we went to check things out yesterday. Basically there is the whole of the British media camped outside one pub with around 150 English fans in it - The Queen Victoria. It's absolute media gold-dust. And a target for anyone who 'wants to have a go'. These images are pumped back to the whole world from this one pub.
Meanwhile, the other 30,000 England fans in Marseille have made sure they were anywhere BUT at The Queen Victoria pub. If you went two blocks away, you wouldn't even know there was the zoo going on in the Vieux Port. And that's what we did - sitting outside with a street full of peaceful football fans.
So there we are having a drink waiting for the French game to start. The samba dancers had just left the area to much applause from the assembled fans who were drinking and eating al fresco.
We then saw 20 French ultras walk past our table and then just lay into a group of lads we were chatting to not even 5 minutes earlier. They were doing noting and the attack was very much a surprise. And pre-meditated.
We hung around for a bit as the police came and tear gassed the area -which saw the Marseille Ultras disperse but made our steak and chips (oh we're so so English) taste a little off - but after a while we could tell that it was Ultras Cat & Mouse with English people. Any English people as we were 'on their patch". So we left the area and drank somewhere much more peaceful 15 minutes walk away.
It's gonna be fun and games today.
